Life is like a Bank,
Full of riches galore.
No matter how much we
have,
We always want some more.
What we may count as
profit,
God may count as loss.
For only eternal things
benefit us,
When you consider what
they cost.
Seek your investments
from God’s Word,
For they’ll give you a
good return.
Set your target on
heaven’s reward,
And let your needs be
God’s concern.
Don’t live a life in
overdraft,
Paying more interest
than you should.
Invest in valuable, eternal
things,
That won’t burn away
like wood.
Invest in friends who
make deposits,
For they’ll add a bonus
to your life.
Beware of friends
who just withdraw,
Leaving you in deficit
and with strife.
A loving heart is a
worthy credit,
For it inflates your
currency.
Good deeds give a good
return,
And protects you from bankruptcy.
So live a life of
generosity,
Don’t waste your life
on greed.
Deposit your riches in the heavenly bank,
So you’ll never want or need.
