Life is like a
mountain,
Often steep and hard to
climb.
But when you pass the
valley tests,
You’ll manage it just
fine.
There are many
obstacles to your path,
Things designed to lose
your grip.
But when you climb in
right conditions,
You’ll discover hinds
feet in your step.
Climbing mountains
takes many attempts,
Before you reach its
summit.
But don’t give up, just
persevere,
Till you can be proud
to say you’ve done it.
There are many
different mountains to climb,
Some you’ll just go
around.
But if you speak to
your mountain,
You can turn them to
flattened ground.
A mountain climb needs
plenty of stops,
To rest up and drink
afresh.
There’ll be physical
pain to overcome,
And a difficult fight
of the flesh.
Hold on to the rock
that’s firm,
Set your foot on steady
ground.
Don’t be swayed by the
changing winds,
Reach for the top where
eagles abound.
Let your offences drop
like falling rocks,
Keep your heart light
and pure.
Let God’s word be your
safety gear,
For it will make you
feel more secure.
And when you reach the
summit peak,
You’ll have achieved your
scenic reward.
For waiting there at
the end of your climb,
Will be your Saviour
and your Lord.
