Life is like the Weather

Life is like the weather,

Unpredictable and always changing.

From bright blue skies of optimism,

To storms that come a raging.

When it seems all grey and dreary,

Full of clouds of sunken doubt.

They’ll be raining tears and rainbows,

That come to wash the clouds all out.

The sun brings us beams of hope,

For it shines the darkness away.

Much like God’s son in heaven,

He’s our umbrella for every day.

No matter what the weather brings,

We can await each sunrise with joy.

For there’s a guaranteed new one each day,

For us to love and enjoy.

And when the day seems long and unending,

When we’re hot and laboured in sweat.

We can be encouraged by the fact,

That we know that the sun will set.

We may not know the forecast,

Or can predict what is to come.

But when we know who controls the weather,

All conditions will become welcome.

Use your faith as your umbrella,

To protect you in stormy times.

The Bible can be your weather guide,

If you watch out for the right signs.

We don’t need to know the temperature,

When our hearts are loving and warm.

We can endure all weather conditions,

And never fear the threat of a storm.

We must expose our sunny disposition,

Whether the sun is shining or not.

We must always be smiling and cheerful,

Whether we’re freezing or hot.

When it’s raining, look for the rainbow,

For there’s always some joy to be found.

Always be seeking the silver lining,

Behind every darkened cloud.

God sends His cleansing teardrops,

To rinse away all our dirt.

He knows just what weather we need,

That will heal our every hurt.

The wind blows away our cobwebs,

When a change of direction is needed.

Snowy cold fronts help keep us grounded,

When our good attitudes are heeded.

So no matter what weather condition,

Remember the sun still shines.

Many seasons are part of what life is about,

Their signs you just need to recognise.
