Life is like a court
case,
We are all sinners of
some crime.
But Jesus has paid our
ransom,
So we don’t need to do
the time.
Our neighbours are our
jury,
Who witness our lives
each day.
For our evidence is in
our actions,
In every thought we
think and say.
We will have many
trials to endure,
For there are constant
battles to win.
Satan will accuse us
daily,
And try to tempt us into
sin.
But Jesus is our
defendant,
Who appeals our every
case.
He petitions on our
behalf,
With His mercy and His
grace.
God is our ultimate
Judge,
Who reserves our end
conviction,
For our sins have all
been pardoned,
On the cross of a
crucifixion.
For there will come a
judgement day,
Of the rights and
wrongs we’ve done.
But the ultimate piece
of evidence,
Will be if we submitted
to God’s son.
Did we trust our
Advocate?
Did we put Jesus in
control?
Do we deserve a life of
freedom?
Is it heaven or hell
for our soul?
