Life is like a war
zone,
Full of enemies and
allies.
You have to remain
alert,
For the things that try
to kill us.
God gives us a choice
of weapons,
To defend, stand firm or
attack.
And with a shield of
faith for protection,
For those enemies
behind our back.
There are many fights
we need to fight,
And many wars we must
defend.
We need to know
when to stand our ground,
And on whom you can
depend.
We need to use our
spiritual swords,
Found in the scriptures
we declare.
With constant prayers
of agreement,
As we engage in
spiritual warfare.
It’s often hard to tell
apart,
Our enemies from our
foes.
For the devil is out to
destroy us,
And uses people as his
clones.
Our salvation is our
helmet,
It protects our minds
and soul.
When we put on all
God’s armour,
We’ll come out fighting
whole.
No matter how intense
our war,
We can rejoice with
victory.
For we already know the
outcome,
The Bible tells the end story.
