Life is like farming,
We sow what we reap.
Whatever things we
plant,
Is what we will always
get to keep.
Ugly seeds produce ugly
fruits,
For there’s a cycle of
consequence.
So no matter what we
farm,
There can never be any
pretence.
We need to be patient
for our harvest,
Our soil we must
prepare.
We need to sow each
seed right,
With love and a
watering prayer.
God will send His
quenching rain,
At a special appointed
time.
For He knows just what
we need,
To help us tow the
line.
A farmer’s job takes
lots of work,
That‘s back-breaking
and quite tiring.
There’s never a break
for the weary,
Amongst all the
shearing and ploughing.
Our faith is like a
scarecrow,
We must place it in our
field.
For it scares away
every deadly sin,
And increases our
farming yield.
We must plant only good
seed,
And be sure that the
soil is right.
For when the harvest is
ready to reap,
We’ll be sure of a
heavenly sight.
